Neighbor of injured pregnant woman speaks out
WALKER - A neighbor who went to the aid of a woman who's baby was cut from her womb spoke to News 2.
Julie Collins is an emergency room nurse who went next door to check on her pregnant neighbor, when she saw emergency vehicle at her house.
She thought 28-year-old Paula Reynolds may have gone into labor early, but instead what she saw horrified her.
Paula had been stabbed and her fetus removed.
And in custody was Paula's husband Jeffery.
Collins said Jeffery seemed incoherent.
"He was howling like an animal. It was a stream of consciousness rambling and ranting and raving and what have you," said Collins.
Jeffery Reynolds was taken to the hospital for blood tests.
He's charged with feticide and attempted second-degree murder.
