National Guard members return from deployment
CARVILLE - Family members welcomed home 120 members of the Louisiana National Guard this morning after a one-year deployment to Afghanistan.
Gov. Bobby Jindal was also on hand as the 415th Military Intelligence Unit arrived in Carville this morning.
"Many mothers and fathers have been away from their families for a long time," Jindal said. "Our thoughts and prayers are with the soldiers who won't be home for the holidays."
