More controversy at Jetson facility
BAKER - A guard at the Jetson Center for Youth claims she was attacked by a student, but there are questions about her story.
The Louisiana Office of Juvenile Justice spokesperson says there is an ongoing investigation, but early results indicate the assault did not happen.
Sources at Jetson said the employee, classified as a youth specialist, was punched in the head several times.
Jetson officials said the investigation will continue. The initial report indicates the guard did not have any visible injuries. The investigation will continue in order to determine what really happened.
This is the latest in a series of problems at the Baker facility. Three teens escaped late last year. Two others escaped last month. The director remains on leave as investigation into the latest escape continues.
