More arrests could come in Baker murders
BAKER- More arrests could happen after a boy was charged with murdering three teens at a birthday party at the Baker Civic Club on Friday.
Nakeydran Williams, 16, is charged with three counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted murder in the shooting.
Baker Chief of Police Mike Knaps said the investigation is ongoing and more people may face consequences in the case.
"Definitely the possibility of more arrests, I won't say it's going to be a major arrest, but there's a great possibility of some more arrests," said Knaps.
Late last week, Knaps found a flier for the party in his yard that set off a red flag.
"It had a recipe for some not so good things to happen," said Knaps, who sent an officer to warn the owners of Civic Club to shut the party down. "They felt that everything was fine, they were dealing with some teenagers, it was an invitation only party and there would be proper security."
Knaps wouldn't confirm if the shooting was connected to any gang activity, but said if there was a connection it would be handled.
