He'll be the first person to accomplish the feat twice in a year, his first journey was on foot, now he's traveling from Portland, Maine to Portland, Oregon, making pit stops in Key West, New Orleans, and today Baton Rouge.
Nicholas met with LSU interim Chancellor Dr. William Jenkins in his effort to raise money for three charities on his ride.
Nicholas is donating 100 percent of donations to The Wounded Warrior Project, The Make-a-Wish Foundation, and St. Jude Children's Hospital.
