LSU ULL Baseball square up on diamond in Lafayette
LAFAYETTE - The LSU Tigers say they will conduct themselves with nothing but professionalism when they hit the road to the ULL Ragin Cajuns for their first away game of the season.
Although there has been bad blood in the past, LSU head coach Paul Mainieri says he doesn't expect any of that Tuesday night in Lafayette.
"We're looking forward to the opportunity to face an excellent ball club in a very boisterous environment," Mainieri said. "I think it's great for baseball in our state when LSU plays UL-Lafayette. We have a lot of respect for (ULL coach) Tony Robichaux and his program, and we're very excited to play in Lafayette in front of a packed house of enthusiastic fans."
Play starts at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Moore Field.
