LSU Softball still undefeated after walk-off homer
BATON ROUGE - The Lady Tiger softball team needed some late inning heroics to stay perfect this season.
The game was tied at three in the seventh inning, when Louisiana Tech touched-up relieve Allie Walljasper. Krysta Tutsch hit a shot to center that no one could reach. The throw back in was off, allowing Tori Charters to score.
The Lady Techsters added to their when a wide throw to first allowed Tutsch to score from third. LSU went into the bottom of the frame down two, with just three outs to work with.
They wouldn't burn a single one. Bianka Bell ripped a RBI double with two on to trim the lead to one. That's when Sahvanna Jaquish smashed a three-run, walk-off homer to lead No. 15 LSU to their eleventh straight win, keeping a goose egg in the loss column this season.
The Lady Tigers will look to stay undefeated this weekend when they head to California for their first road games of the season.
