LSU making improvements with transition
BATON ROUGE- Steps to make LSU a better school are in the works.
Tuesday, a transition advisory team held the first of many meetings to launch LSU 2015. The project will help LSU reorganize it's school model to get on track for the future.
The transition advisory team will come up with improvements and suggestions, then present them to the Board of Supervisors.
The whole idea is to make LSU a more competitive university.
One idea being discussed is making LSU one system under one president, and it could help cut cost.
"The status quo is unacceptable. Higher education is changing and we have to change or we'll get left behind. And it's dangerous not to change," said LSU Board of Supervisors, Hank Danos.
The next meeting is next month and the community is urged to come to share their ideas.
