LSU hoops prepares for Australia trip
BATON ROUGE - It's been a busy, but fun summer for Ben Simmons.
The #1 recruit in the country and LSU freshman went to Los Angeles on three separate occasions (once for the ESPY's and twice for elite camps), and now he and his Tiger teammates are about to take the trip of a lifetime to Australia.
Simmons is an Australia native and will feel right at home as the Tigers leave August 13 for a 10 day, 5 game tour of Simmons' home country.
With the exhibition schedule ahead, the Tigers are allowed an extra 10 days of practice, which allowed the media to view Simmons and his freshman teammates in purple and gold for the first time on Tuesday.
