Louis Mykoff Team Gleason
BATON ROUGE - Louis Mykoff is your average Baton Rouge native who likes to keep in shape by running, except lately he's been running a lot more - and for a cause.
The McKinley High & LSU graduate is running 125 miles from Baton Rouge to New Orleans in five days to raise awareness, and funds, for ALS(commonly known as Lou Gehrig's Disease).
Mykoff hopes to raise $10,000 before he takes the starting line at the USS Kidd Wednesday. The route he's running will take him down the Mississippi River levee, where he'll camp out at night between each grueling run.
"No matter what sets in, if I have to walk or crawl 125 miles," says Mykoff. "It inspires me that my friends, my family want to give...and that inspires me to keep running."
