Local businesses getting ready for gameday
BATON ROUGE - Tiger fans that decided to stay home for the big game are making their final grocery lists.
Many of those people rushed the stores today, making sure that they are ready for tomorrow.
Everybody wants as much as they can get in purple and gold, as far as cakes, icings and cookies," Felix Sherman of Ambrosia's Bakery said.
Store owners say that they are prepared for the steady stream of customers, but they are ramping up protocol to stay prepared.
Some people say that they are cooking enough food for an entire neighborhood.
"About 100 people, but I mean with this we will have some in the freezer, which we will pull out on another rainy day, game, or another party," Joann Jarreau said, when asked about her garfish gravy.
Those store owners said that today was busier than normal, but expect tomorrow to be the big rush.
