Livonia baseball awaits court ruling
PLAQUEMINE - The Livonia baseball program awaits a ruling by an East Baton Rouge judge on whether or not the Wildcats will make the playoff bracket.
The Louisiana High School Athletic Association ruled one of Livonia's freshman baseball players ineligible last Thursday, retroactively taking away the football team's deepest postseason run in school history and 18 games from this season's baseball team.
The ruling takes any chance the 23-4 Livonia team has of qualifying for postseason play.
