Lee Drive construction has drivers frustrated
BATON ROUGE- Lee Drive, a busy corridor connecting south Baton Rouge with the shopping centers on College and eventually I-10 and Mid City, will have lane closures starting today.
There will be intermittent lane closures from Boone Avenue to Bluebell Drive from Monday, July 8 at 7 p.m. through Thursday, August 1st. During much of the day during that time, Lee will be down to one lane of traffic. But, two lanes will be open from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
A full closure of the street is set for Thursday, July 18 between Boone Avenue and Bennett Drive and will reopen Monday, July 22.
The closure is for construction on the sewer system.
Detour routes are Highland Road to Stanford Avenue.
