Learn to protect yourself: Self-defense with BRPD
BATON ROUGE - Members of the Baton Rouge Police Department join Whitney on 2une In to talk about the Equalizer Women's Self Defense Class and to show off some techniques.
The course covers: facts about violence against women, reducing the risk of becoming a victim, defensive striking, common grab defenses, head-lock defenses, bear hug defenses, striking and knife defense and group escapes.
There are two remaining sessions: Monday, January 13th and Wednesday, January 15th. The classes are from 6:00 pm until 10 pm at the BRPD Training Academy on Airline Highway. The sessions are free of charge.
