Knock Knock Museum celebrates new sponsor
BATON ROUGE - Organizers of the Knock Knock Children's Museum in Baton Rouge announced Thursday a new sponsor has pledged nearly a half-million dollars to help make the museum a reality.
Newton and Betsy Thomas along with the Newtron Group pledged $425,000 in support for the museum's "By-You Building" Learning Zone, a hands-on learning area in the planned museum.
Organizers also released the latest renderings of the Knock Knock museum's building plans, and information about the proposed educational programming the donation will make possible.
The museum is planned to be built in BREC's City - Brooks Community Park facing Dalrymple Drive. The museum will be 30,000 square feet and feature 18 - 20 hands-on interactive exhibits for children up to age eight.
