Kids and kitchen chemicals
BATON ROUGE - According to Dr. Mindy Calandro, it's important to be aware of the many household products you have in your home and how harmful they can be if your children get hold of them.
Dr. Calandro says children can often be lured towards many of the common cleaning products due to their bright colors. She says many of these alluring products are poisonous and consumption can lead your children to become very ill or can cause death. She advises to always stow away your cleaning products in safe areas where children cannot reach or add safety locks to cabinet doors.
Dr. Calandro is a pediatrician at The Baton Rouge Clinic.
