Jindal swears in 46 new Louisiana State Troopers
BATON ROUGE - Governor Bobby Jindal administered the oath of office to 46 newly badged Louisiana State Troopers on Thursday.
The graduates began the rigorous Training Academy on January 12th of this year which prepared them for crash investigation, emergency vehicle operations, DWI detection, traffic incident management, and leadership.
Eight of the new Louisiana State Troopers will be serving in the Baton Rouge area.
Governor Jindal said, "These new troopers, and all state troopers throughout our state, are the men and the women who do not put themselves first. They rush into danger when most people are running away from it. We will be forever grateful for their leadership and their service, and I am proud to stand with them on this great day in our state."
