Jeremy Hill returns to team: LATEST COVERAGE
BATON ROUGE - It was a vote by the entire team that allowed LSU running back Jeremy Hill to play this season. Hill practiced with the Tigers Monday afternoon after he spent the morning in court facing a judge.
Hill apologized and said he made a poor choice and has learned from that mistake. Coach Les Miles said any additional punishments will be handled internally.
Fans support the decision.
"I think he's paid his dues," said Ed Lundin. "He did wrong and I think that Les Miles is correct in letting him back on the team."
Another fan believes as long as his teammates are for it, it's fine.
"The young man has all the ability in the world to excel to the next level," said Terry Tucker. "I think as long as he takes care of business, it'll be a good thing."
A judge gave Hill 40 more hours of community service and kept his curfew in place.
