Hometown Hero nominee
BATON ROUGE-A local volleyball coach has been nominated for a national award for her continuous dedication to her athletes.
Central High School volleyball coach Michele LeBouef is a nominee for the 2017 Hometown Hero award presented by Quicken Loans.
According to MileSplit USA, the award is given to the finest coaches in the country who make an impact in the community by changing high school-age athlete's lives for the better. The last day to vote is Dec. 8.
FloSport will award the top coach with a $25,000 cash prize on behalf of the national mortgage lender Quicken Loans. LeBouef is going against four other coaches for the Hometown Hero award.
