High school signees
BATON ROUGE - Here's a roundup of signees from 4 parishes and 15 high schools around Baton Rouge on signing day:
At Central High, the Wildcats follwed up a state quarterfinal birth with a handful of seniors moving on to the college ranks:
Donald Lewis junior is heading to Tulane,
La-Allan Clark is heading to Northwestern State
and Gary Triplet and Jacob Myer will play together at Nicholls St.
That pair will be joined in Thibodaux by Cole Spears from Denham Springs:
Fellow hornets defender Barclay Miller is playing at Kennesaw State.
The Dutchtown Griffins are sending a pair of players to TCU:
Corey Mcbride will play receiver and Torrance Mosley is a cornerback.
Offensive lineman Trey Gallman will take perferred walk-on status at LSU.
Tyler Hughes is the first non-football signee of the day:
he'll run track at Louisiana-Lafayette.
At East Ascension we find another pair of teammates on the way to Nicholls State,
as the Colenels land Devin Simoneauz and Tyler Green.
Dominique Williams and Deondre Darville are both heading to Louisiana College,
and Jaylen Watts and Mason Bateman both chose Arkansas-Monticello
and Sione Palelei will be playing Big 12 football next year,
as the Spartans big back will now be running for Oklahoma State.
At East Feliciana, where Daryl Matthews is heading to Louisiana College,
and Kameron Mcknight will help put some bite back in the Bulldogs,
as he joins La-Tech.
At Livonia, Russell Farris signed this afternoon with Louisiana Tech.
At Mickinley, a half-dozen players put pen to paper:
Yoseff Banks is heading to Howard,
Tyrone Scott Jr. will play at Nicholls,
Asam Obi Asam is heading to Jackson State,
Jorey Bryant and Hinney Harris will play at Mount San Jacinto College
and Marquise Kegler will take a preferred walk-on at LSU.
We step away from for a pair of golfers at Parkview Baptist,
Daniel Schroeder signs to golf at East Mississippi Community College,
and Brek Balentine signs with Copiah-Lincoln CC.
At Southern Lab,
Corey White is heading to Howard,
while Isaiah Briggs will play at Arkansas Pine-Bluff.
At Tara, Kaleb Kador and Moroni will play at Nicholls
and Dalvin Dunn at Arkansas Monticello.
At University High, Drew Moore signed to play at Louisiana Lafayette:
at West Feliciana, another local player heading to La-Tech.
Jaylon Ferguson will play defensive end for the Bulldogs.
Last but not least,
two players from Zachary signing,
as Stanley Jackson is heading to Southeast Prep,
and Forrest Town is heading to Dartmouth.
