Hayden hearing pushed back to May
DENHAM SPRINGS - A motions hearing in Livingston Parish over rape charges against former reality TV show star Will Hayden was pushed back Monday to May.
Attorneys for the former "Sons of Guns" star said with similar charges going to trial in East Baton Rouge Parish, they needed a continuance to make sure the two cases didn't run side-by-side.
A judge granted the motion, moving the hearing back to May 7.
Hayden faces charges in Livingston Parish that he sexually abused an 11-year-old, and accusations from another victim of a separate incident 20 years ago. In East Baton Rouge Parish he was indicted on three sex charges, two counts of aggravated rape and one count of forcible rape.
Hayden was arrested twice on the charges back in August 2014 and pleaded not guilty. The scandal led to Discovery cancelling Hayden's TV show and Red Jacket Firearms severing ties with him.
