Hailstorm leaves trail of damage in its wake
PORT VINCENT - On Tuesday, Port Vincent residents were greeted by the sun and the damage left behind by Monday hailstorm.
Vanessa Murphy spent the day counting the bruises on her car.
"There's here and here and then there are some clusters," she said. "It just looks like someone just dumped rocks on my car."
She's one of several affected by the storm, which didn't play favorites. Even insurance agent Darryl Murphy's vehicle was damaged by hail.
"It's very noisy, and it's kind of scary," he said. "It was hitting against the windows, and we were afraid it was going to break the windows."
He suggest anyone with similar damage call their insurance adjuster and not try to repair the damage themselves.
"Let your adjuster look at it and let them determine the damage," he said. "If additional damage is discovered, the adjuster will come back out and issue a supplement."
