Habitat for Humanity Baton Rouge
Sylvia Weatherspoon featured how Habitat for Humanity of Greater Baton Rouge recently helped make one woman's dream of having her own home come true as part of her 2 Make A Difference series.
It took about four months, dozens of volunteers from Exxon Mobile and 2,200 volunteer hours to build the home. It's number 292 for the organization, which started building homes in the capital city in 1989.
If you're interested in volunteering, Habitat will help train you to build their homes. For more information, visit their website.
