GOP leaders discuss gun rights in Baton Rouge
BATON ROUGE- The top four guns for personal protection was the topic at the Ronald Reagan Newsmaker luncheon.
Former Baton Rouge Police Chief Greg Phares and coroner Beau Clark took part in the discussion.
East Baton Rouge Parish Republican Party Chairman Woody Jenkins says the meeting was a way to open up that discussion, while reinforcing the party's stance on gun rights.
There is concern with many gun owners about potential changes to gun laws in response to the Connecticut school shooting.
