GBR Food Bank Easter Drive
BATON ROUGE - Lent is the time to serve the poor and needy. Tim and Tracy Arceneaux stopped by 2une In to explain how you can get in the giving spirit and donate to the Needy of Greater Baton Rouge.
"It brings tears to your eyes to see that a small $12 dollar basket, which is about what it costs us to put together, how it just lights up a child's face," Tim Arceneaux told News 2 this morning.
This weekend the Needy of Greater Baton Rouge will be collecting donations at the Dollar General on Greenwell Springs Road In Central.
"We'll be doing these drives up until the 28th of March every weekend," Arceneaux told 2une In's John Pastorek.
The Arceneauxs said they enjoy helping out the less fortunate because they're able to do something good for someone else, while feeling good about themselves in the process.
Visit the Needy of Greater Baton Rouge website for more Easter drive dates.
