Funerals begin for Lafayette shooting victims
LAFAYETTE- Funeral services for the two women killed in the Lafayette movie theater shooting will be held on Monday.
A night at the movies turned tragic when 59-year-old John Houser opened fire inside the theater, killing two people and injuring nine others before killing himself.
Jillian Johnson, 33, and Mayci Breaux, 21, will be laid to rest Monday.
According to Mayci Breaux’s first cousin, her funeral will be at Church of the Assumption in Franklin at 11 a.m.
Funeral services for Jillian Johnson will be held in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers in Lafayette at 12:30 p.m. Visitation hours will begin at 9 a.m. and last until the service begins.
Governor Bobby Jindal issued an executive order to protect the two funerals from protestors.
