BATON ROUGE - One man has a different plan to rid Baton Rouge's streets of crime.

Ron Hardy created the "Freedom Movement" along with 300 young people, ages 18 to 35, to fight the city's crime problem with rallies, crusades, and marches where crime is an issue.

They meet for the first time tonight to introduce their plan to the city.

"We're not going to tolerate crime anymore. We're not going to tolerate these drugs being brought into our community," Hardy told News 2. "We want to see a change."

The group also partnered with B.R.A.V.E, the city police department's crime-fighting initiative.

Metro Council member Denise Marcelle and legislator Pat Smith also joined the movement.
