Failure to Communicate
BATON ROUGE - The buzzword among LSU players right now is "communicate," as the Tigers are looking for better communication on the field after several breakdowns led to costly mistakes against Mississippi State last weekend.
Tigers head coach Les Miles said on Monday that players took their turns making mistakes, but it all added up to a rare loss in Death Valley.
One example is Dak Prescott's 56 yard touchdown run that put the Bulldogs up 24-10 in the 3rd quarter.
"Like that big run that they got on us?" said Kendell Beckwith. "That could have been prevented: easy. That just goes back to communicating."
"You can't assume," said Tigers offensive lineman Jerald Hawkins. "That's what we have been doing lately. Got to make sure. Make sure we're on the same page and overcommunicate if that's possible. Just make sure we're on the same page."
