EBRSO: Teens admit to making Frenchtown Rd. barriers
BATON ROUGE - Homemade roadblocks in East Baton Rouge Parish landed three teens in hot water Thursday.
Sheriff's deputies said three teens turned themselves in Thursday afternoon and took responsibility for setting a number of makeshift barriers on Frenchtown Road near Richardson.
The roadblocks were made of plywood and debris, and had dirty messages and pictures drawn on them.
Hundreds of people travel through that area each day. Deputies said the teens told them it was a prank, but it could have caused a serious crash.
"It's dangerous, you know people travel these roads at night they're already curvy and there's and there's no shoulder on Frenchtown Road as it is," said Chase Metz, who lives near Frenchtown Road.
Deputies said the teens face charges of obstructing a roadway.
