Dr. Z on non-invasive treatments to help eliminate leg fat
BATON ROUGE - Dermatologist Dr. Ann Zedlitz visited News 2 at 4 Monday afternoon to talk about new non-invasive treatments for leg fat sure to get you ready for showing off those gams this summer.
The doctor was talking about new tools in her arsenal that aims to stave off unsightly fat on the legs, specifically in the perrenproblem area of the thighs. The treatment uses Vanquish Thigh radio frequency energy, which has been shown to reduce thighs circumference by half an inch to an inch with the average patient losing an inch of thigh they didn't want after only four 30 minute treatment sessions for each thigh.
She also brought us news about a similar type of treatment, branded Protégé, which uses specific wavelengths of radio frequency technology to tighten skin and build collagen. Dr. Z says the technique has mostly been used on legs but treatments are being developed for arms and other parts of the body that normally gain hard to get rid of fat.
