Dentists focus on children's dental health
BATON ROUGE - Dr. Ammar A. Mekari stopped by to bring awareness to children's healthy teeth.
February is National Children's Dental Health month. Mekari said children fear visits to the dentist because they think it will hurt.
According to the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, children should visit a dentist as soon as their first tooth appears, then again by their first birthday and on a regular basis after that.
