Cool Schools: St. Jude the Apostle School

BATON ROUGE - St. Jude Cougars packed the gym last week to see their Community Cougar Project come to fruition.
The students has been bringing in piggy bank, birthday and Christmas money to raise money for new bikes. The students were raising money for one bike, but they raised more than enough. They raise over $5000 to buy bikes for three children.
The bikes were bought through the McLindon Family Foundation, which provides adaptive bikes to special needs children.
The McLindon family was blown away by the school's support and compassion during the project.
"I thought it was really cool that as soon as the children came into the gym, the children started applauding," Andrew McLindon said. "When the children started riding their bikes, they started to applaud."
The families said they were blessed with the opportunity.
We salute you, St. Jude Cougars, for giving a gift of a bike, and being a really cool school.
