BATON ROUGE - The Louisiana Marathon weekend began under blue skies and winners in 6 events Saturday, as men and women took medals in the Quarter Marathon, 5k, and kids' marathon.
In the Quarter, Keith Kotar took the men's title with 35:12 and Cierra Theriot won the women's in 42:17.
In the 5k, Ryan Schafbuch took the men's title in 16:23 and Nicole Klein won the women's in 21:05.
In the kids' marathon, Abram Johnston won the boy's event in 7:52 and Alana Simon won the girl's event in 8:28.
Sports 2's Chris Price documented his run in the 5k, meeting race director Craig Sweeney and other volunteers along the way.
