BATON ROUGE- A hard freeze warning has been issued for the area since temperatures will drop to around 27 overnight Tuesday and into Wednesday morning.
The warning has been issued from 12am - 8am Wednesday for West Feliciana, East Feliciana, St. Helena and Tangipahoa Parishes along with Wilkinson, Amite and Pike Counties.
The WBRZ weather team reports Wednesday will be sunny, but chilly and dry.
Due to the dryness, the State Fire Marshal is warning people about the dangers of open flames. Livingston Parish officials issued a parish-wide burn ban Tuesday afternoon, including for burning natural vegetation.
Again Wednesday night, temperatures will get close to freezing and Thursday will stay below average in the middle 50s. Click HERE for more on this week's forecast.
