Cement truck wreck closes I-10E for hours
BATON ROUGE - State Police reopened a portion of I-10 where a cement truck overturned earlier this morning, forcing it closed for several hours.
The cement truck turned over at I-10 East and Siegen Lane around 8:30 a.m.
There were no injuries, but the eastbound lanes had to be closed while the truck was uprighted and the eastimated 74,000 pounds of cement it was carrying offloaded.
Congestion was back to the I-10/12 junction when the interstate re-opened, according to the DOTD traffic center.
