Burglars ram stolen truck into New Orleans convenience store, steal ATM

NEW ORLEANS - Two men have been arrested after surveillance video captured a stunning burglary at a New Orleans convenience store over the weekend.

According to a report from WWL, D'Andre Johnson and Treyvon McDonald confessed to authorities after they took part in an early morning burglary at the Brother's Convenience Store on Airline Drive Saturday. Surveillance video shows a truck plowing through the front of the store just before several individuals rush in and take off with the business' ATM.

The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office told WWL that officers who were canvassing the area of the crime a short time later saw the two men inside of a vehicle they believed may have been used in the heist. Authorities say the vehicle used in the crime was stolen.

Investigators said the same method was used to rob another Brother's store on Aug. 13, however, McDonald and Johnson have not been connected to that burglary.

Investigators are continuing efforts to identify and locate the remaining suspects in both incidents.
