Broussard family mourns the loss of their son
GEISMAR - The Broussard family mourns the loss of their son, Christopher. He went missing early Tuesday morning and was found dead Wednesday night by baton Rouge Police. His truck went off the side of the road on LA-80.
Chris's mother released this statement to us:
"The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to all the friends and family and his brothers of Theta Chi, LSU police and administration and members of the media with a special thanks to you and WBRZ. And also a special thanks to family and friends who spent countless hours searching for Christopher. We were deeply touched by the outpouring of support from the community and the LSU family. And also a special thanks to Bogie's for their assistance."
The family is inviting family and friends to the funeral services this weekend. A wake is planned for Sunday evening from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Rabenhorst East funeral home. Funeral services will be Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the Blessed Sacrament Church in Baton Rouge with burial to follow at Resthaven Gardens.
