BATON ROUGE - Brides were in shock when they showed up at dress shop Alfred Angelo Bridal to find the doors shut for good.

The business closed all of its locations abruptly Thursday.  Outside the location in Towne Center, brides stood in disbelief.

"I'm just scared I wont get my wedding dress for my wedding day," Heather Johnson, a bride, said.
Johnson said she was warned Thursday of the closure by an employee who said she had to come get her dress or else.
"They just said they were closing and I said, 'well, I can come back tomorrow (Friday).'  She said, 'no ma'am, we're closing today.'"
An employee at the Baton Rouge store told WBRZ, word spread among the stores Thursday morning of the closure.  Employees were told they were out of a job and could volunteer their time calling customers.  But, by 8 p.m. Thursday time was up.
"We called as many people as we could," the employee said.  She did not want to be identified or go on television.

Alfred Angelo Bridal operates more than 60 stores nationwide.

Brides who are looking to get their dresses and accessories from the store must file a claim through the company website and contact a company an attorney at predmond@stearnsweaver.com

David's Bridal announced Friday, it would offer discounts to brides who could not get their dresses from the store.  David's was also offering free rushed alterations.
