Brandywine financial problems update
BATON ROUGE- Residents at Brandywine Apartments may be in for a cold weekend after power was cut off to several units.
It's because they didn't pay rent, but resident argue they shouldn't have to because management hasn't paid more than $100,000 in utilities payments.
Now the water company says they'll shut off service on March 4.
"And then what are we gonna do?" said Sandra Parker, a resident at the complex, "So we are taking the money, we didn't pay rent this month, to try and relocate because you can't live without water, you need water."
The management refused answer any questions about the situation, but the city confirmed no payment has been made and water service will be shut off in March.
