One in three children are obese or overweight in the United States. This rate of childhood obesity has tripled in the last 30 years.

Dietitians Angelina Stratton Leblanc said sugary drinks are a major contributor to childhood obesity in this country. In particular, Leblanc labeled sports drinks and sodas as some of the greatest contributors.

According to Leblanc, water is always the best option for you and your children.
