Baton Rouge rapper 'Gee Money' killed in Dallas Drive shooting
BATON ROUGE - Baton Rouge Police detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that reportedly claimed the life of a 22-year-old Baton Rouge rapper early Sunday morning.
According to BRPD, the shooting occurred around 1:30 a.m. in the 1900 block of Dallas Drive.
The victim, Garrett Burton of Baton Rouge, was located in a parking lot suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Burton died at the scene, according to BRPD.
A family member confirmed Burton, also known as Da Real Gee Money, died as a result of the shooting.
People also took to social media Sunday morning, expressing their grief of the death of Burton.
Police have yet to determine any suspects or motives at this time.
