Baton Rouge General stroke seminar
BATON ROUGE- Stroke is the leading cause of adult disability in the U.S. This morning Sadye Batts from Baton Rouge General stopped by 2une In to tell us more about an upcoming stroke seminar at the hospital's Bluebonnet campus.
The seminar will teach people how to recognize the signs of a stroke, and how to react if they see someone showing these signs. The class will also give tips on how to adjust to life after a stroke, and give caregivers instructions on how to properly assist stroke survivors.
You should always remember to act F.A.S.T. at the first warning sign of a stroke.
F- Face drooping
A- Arm weakness
S- Speech difficulty
T- Time to call 9-1-1
The seminar will be held in conference room 1 at Baton Rouge General on Bluebonnet. The event will go from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Lunch will be provided. You can register for the seminar here.
