Baker PD looking for man who tried to snatch teen
BAKER- Police here have asked surrounding police agencies to assist in the search for a potential attempted abduction suspect.
Police Chief Mike Knaps said his department received word that a 15-year-old girl was almost snatched walking home from the library Monday afternoon.
"She thought it was open, and was on her way home," Knaps said about the incident. The girl was walking along Jefferson near the intersection of Alabama when a man in an SUV stopped and talked to her.
Eventually, he got out of his vehicle and grabbed her arm. She was able to get free and ran for help.
Police said they are looking for a man with a mohawk driving an older, silver SUV. It has "RODEO" written on the back glass.
Knaps said anyone who spots this vehicle should call 911 immediately.
