NAPOLEONVILLE- The small community of Brusly-St. Vincent is begging for help as residents continue to wade through hip-high water to get to their homes.

"The bridge further down the road, they made a new bridge and put culverts instead of pylons and the water gets trapped there, it won't go anywhere," said Lisa Landry, whose home was nearly under water Thursday evening.

Some folks are using boats to get to their homes and visit family.

"It was bad [Wednesday night], it was really deep," said Rustin Guillot, who was helping his pregnant wife. "It was terrible man, my grandpa totally lost everything."

People used pumps and boom to fight the water, but for one man, it was too late.

"This is where I watch baseball, LSU baseball, football, Saints games, this is my man cave and this is what it looks like now, because of drainage," said David Woods.

Now people are just hoping the weather will keep the water at bay and that someone can provide a solution to their drainage problems.
