After long rain delay, LSU Regional set to get underway at 8:34 p.m.
The LSU Tiger baseball team may finally see their NCAA post-season start, as all-day rains moved out of the Baton Rouge area and a 8:34 p.m. start time has been set for the start of the Baton Rouge Regional with game one between LSU and Utah Valley.
The original 2:00 p.m. start time saw heavy rains and lightning postpone that start for five an a half hours, then shortly before 7:30 p.m. an announcement was made that play would start in roughly and hour.
Both LSU and Utah Valley teams had left the stadium to get off their feet until a decision on the game time had been made.
The second game of the Regional has been suspended until Saturday morning. Southeastern and Rice will play their first game of the Regional at a time still to be announced.
