12-year-old attack victim released from hospital

BATON ROUGE - The 12-year-old boy who was attacked by a group of teenagers last Friday night at a football game has been released from the hospital and is recovering back at home.

Quinton Robinson spent four days in intensive care after an attack at Scotlandville Magnet High School left him with fractures in his skull and internal bleeding.

His mother says he may not be able to go back to school for a month or even more.

Yet catching up on school work isn't what his mother says she's worried about.

"He's not the Quinton that I had before, you know my baby is in a healing stage and he has to heal from within," said Candi Robinson.

Police are still trying to identify the suspect in the attack.

Meanwhile, EBR Superintendent Warren Drake says schools will be increasing security at all future football games.
