    Rain postpones LSU baseball game against SC

    COLUMBIA, S. C. - Bad weather forced tonight's baseball game between LSU and South Carolina to be postponed.

    The game has been rescheduled for tomorrow afternoon.  Rain earlier forced the teams into a delay for more than an hour before the game was called.

    The Tigers will face South Carolina in a doubleheader at 1:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.

    Southern faces elimination on day two of SWAC tournament

    BATON ROUGE - The Southern baseball team faces elimination this morning on day two of the SWAC tournament at Lee Hines Field.

    The Jags are the host team and led their opening game 4-0 in the eighth inning yesterday, but they blew the lead and lost to Mississippi Valley State, 6-4.

    Southern will now play Grambling St. with the winner surviving and the loser looking to next year.
