The Livonia Wildcats fell in double overtime to Union Parish 33-27 in the 3A state championship game.
The Cats threw an interception on their first play of the second extra frame, and the Farmers scored shortly afterwards to end it.
The loss is the first of the year for the Wildcats who advanced to the teams first state finals in school history.

BATON ROUGE - Two Baton Rouge high school football teams with spotless records are hitting the Superdome turf this week for the state championships.
The University High Cubs (13-0) face the John Curtis Patriots (9-2) at 4:30 p.m. in the Division II final. Then on Friday, Livonia (14-0) takes the field against Union Parish (13-1) in the Class 3A final at 8:30 p.m.
