Zachary teen accused of raping mentally disabled student
ZACHARY - Zachary police accused an 18-year-old teen of raping a mentally disabled student in Zachary last year.
Police say Ikeal Franklin of Zachary was charged with aggravated rape of an 18-year-old who suffers from Asperger's Syndrome and Bipolar Disorder.
Franklin is accused of raping the victim after school in October 2014 when the victim's parents were not home.
According to a police report, the victim's friend who was already at the house invited Franklin over.
Police say they were notified of the incident by the victim's mother who noticed a large bruise on the victim's neck.
Franklin was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on Friday. His bond was set at 200-thousand dollars.
