Zachary residents frustrated over road delays
ZACHARY - Frustrations are mounting with Zachary residents who live along Rollins Road.
The reconstruction of the road started late last year and was supposed to be finished in June. However, the construction company the city contracted said they ran into delays.
Residents just want the road to be taken care of in a timely manner because they say it's affecting them.
"It is so dusty. Both my husband and I suffer with sinuses and all this dust affect us in a lot of ways," said Louise Horton, a longtime Zachary resident.
The new completion date should be mid-August. If it's still not done by then, the city plans to fine the construction company $500 every day until the road is finished.
